INFORMATION CONCERNING CANADA RFI AND NOISE REQUIREMENTS

The following information applies to all vehicles manufactured in or imported into Canada after December 31, 1995:

Vehicles equipped with an internal combustion engine using spark ignition must comply with Industry Canada ICES-002, Issue 3. Violation may result in penalties.

All vehicles manufactured in or imported into Canada must comply with this and other applicable regulation. According to the definition of manufacturer in the

standard, alteration of the vehicle may cause the remanufacture to be liable for retest and certification.

Generally, alteration that does not alter or remove any body components or alter, damage or remove or add to any ignition, engine control or wiring or RFI suppression components of the vehicle will not cause any significant degradation of the vehicle performance.

If significant changes that affect the RFI performance are made, the remanufacture must test and certify the vehicle according to CAN/CSA-C108.4M-1992 and label

the modified vehicle as provided in ICES-002, Issue 3, Annex.
