Timothy "Mini" Tyrrell, 21, drives the No. 14 Ram 1500 in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series®. He earned the position after winning a 15-driver reality show competition “Race for the Seat” that aired in the winter of 2026 on FOX and FS1. The drivers competed in a series of challenges that included Legends and Late Model races plus off-the-track competitions, including press events and sponsorship work.
He earned the nickname "Mini" early on, which has stuck throughout his career.
He began racing full-size Late Model Stock Cars at an incredibly young age. At just 10 years old, he became the youngest driver ever to win a Late Model Stock Car race in America (at Shenandoah Speedway). He also won two Late Model championships and was the youngest winner in both youth and pro divisions of Arena Racing (indoor half-scale stock cars).
He is a longtime competitor in the CARS Tour, driving the No. 81 for Timmy Tyrrell Racing. Tyrell made his debut when he was just 14, won three times in the series in 2021 and earned best points finish of third in 2024.
Tyrell has also competed in the Virginia Late Model Triple Crown Series, the USAC Eastern Midget Championship, the INEX Summer Shootout and the NASCAR® Weekly Series.
Tyrrell runs "Mini’s Mission", a nonprofit organization that raises awareness and donations for those impacted by childhood cancer. The organization served as the race sponsor for the CARS Tour race at Dominion Raceway, a race that Tyrrell won. He's raised more than $475,000 (reported) for childhood cancer research and related causes.
