Ram 1500 Named Full-Size Pickup Truck Of Texas
The 2016 Ram 1500 was awarded the prestigious Full-Size Pickup of Texas+ by the Texas Auto Writers Association (TAWA) for the second year in a row. After two days of challenging on-and off-road driving, 69 TAWA members voted the Ram 1500 the winner. Trucks are judged on exterior/interior styling, off-road capability, overall utility, value and performance.
Ram 1500 Ecodiesel—Named Pickup of The Year
The 2015 Ram 1500 EcoDiesel was named Pickup of the Year at the Northwest Automotive Press Association (NWAPA) "Mudfest". According to Nik Miles, president of NWAPA, "This annual competition sets the bar for outdoor activity vehicle buyers in not only the Northwest, but the entire country."
Ram 1500 Power Wagon®—Voted Extreme Capability Pickup of the Year
The 2015 Ram 1500 Power Wagon® was voted Extreme Capability Pickup of the Year at the Northwest Automotive Press Association (NWAPA) "Mudfest". More than 20 NWAPA automotive journalists spent two days testing vehicles on paved and off-road routes at the 21st annual event. Journalists texted 27 vehicles from 21 manufacturers to select winners in six categories.

The Ram 1500 EcoDiesel was the 2015 Rocky Mountain Truck of the Year, as voted by members of the Rocky Mountain Automotive Press (RMAP). With highway fuel economy up to 29 mpg+, Ram 1500 EcoDiesel combines efficiency and performance in one outstanding package.

The 2015 Ram 1500 was one of the 15 Best Family Cars of 2015, according to Kelley Blue Book’s KBB.com ®+. “The Ram 1500 may be the most civilized truck on the market today,” Kelley Blue Book said, noting that its comfortable ride and generous carrying capacity makes it ideal for road trips—“that quintessential event that every family really should do.”

U.S. News named the 2015 Ram 1500 the Best Full-Size Pickup for the Money, with the best combination of positive reviews and long-term ownership costs in its class. U.S. News said the “Best-in-Class ride, superior cabin materials, smooth transmission and Class-Exclusive diesel engine option” all contribute to the stellar performance of Ram 1500.
2013 TRUCK OF TEXAS+
The 2014 Ram 1500 EcoDiesel won the 2013 Truck of Texas award after two days of side-by-side reviews and deliberation at the Texas Truck Rodeo near San Antonio, Texas. The active members of the Texas Auto Writers Association tested ½-ton trucks for both on and off-road performance, as well as for trailer-towing prowess. The 3.0L EcoDiesel V6 engine impressed voting writers with its power, quietness and friendly nature at the pump.
Ram 1500 Named 2013 Rocky Mountain Truck of the Year
The Ram 1500 is the 2013 Rocky Mountain Truck of the Year, as chosen by the Rocky Mountain Automotive Press, for class-leading ride and handling, expansive interior, and blend of toughness and refinement. Journalists found the available air suspension and eight-speed transmission particularly suited to Colorado's unique driving challenges. "On-road and off, it's the perfect truck to tackle the demands of the Rocky Mountain West," said RMAP president Chuck Giametta.
North American Truck of the Year
Among the best in the heart of Motor City, the 2013 Ram 1500 drove away with the title of 2013 North American Truck/Utility of the Year. Upon receiving the award at the International North American Auto Show in Detroit, Ram brand CEO Fred Diaz told USA Today that it "feels like a three-point buzzer beater." He credited the major push for an innovative new model to (Chrysler and Fiat CEO) Sergio Marchionne "telling us 'Boys, it's time to go big or go home.'"

It's official: the Texas Auto Writers Association has named the 2013 Ram 1500 its Truck of Texas™. Announced at the 20th annual TAWA Truck Rodeo, the truck earned the coveted title for its innovative new features, including the powerful 3.6L Pentastar ® V6 engine, available Best-in-Class fuel economy+

The new Ram 1500 is making a name for itself on the road and on the airwaves. Ruedas ESPN, the leading Spanish-language automotive radio show, named the 2013 Ram 1500 its Truck of the Year. Jamie Florez, Director and Host of Ruedas ESPN, cited it as an example of a vehicle being both attractive and efficient. The 2012 Ram 1500 is among the top again, as it was named A Consumers Digest Best Buy+ in the automotive category for the 2012 model year. Calling the Ram 1500 ride and handling first-rate, Consumers Digest also noted enhancements like the six-speed automatic transmission. The 2012 Ram 1500 was also recognized for the optional 5.7L HEMI ® V8 engine, which gets 390 hp and 22 hwy mpg+.
