Suspension
Suspension systems serve a dual purpose: they contribute to the truck's handling and keep vehicle occupants comfortable and well isolated from road noise, bumps and vibrations.
-
Handling & Suspension

Freight Cars Springs
The spring groups in a typical railroad freight car are relatively soft, giving a low vertical bounce and natural frequency.
-
Disadvantages of Leaf Spring Suspension
Disadvantages include expensive materials, design complexity, cost of modification, and vulnerability to heat-related damage. These are just a few of the many reasons that the Ram Truck's Multi-Link Coil Spring Rear Suspension is superior.

Higher Speeds and Efficiency
Driving at higher speeds increases aerodynamic drag (wind resistance), reducing fuel economy. The new EPA tests account for aerodynamic drag up to highway speeds of 80 mph.
-
Air Conditioning and Efficiency
Running the air conditioning decreases fuel economy. Operating the air conditioner on "Max" can reduce MPG by roughly 5-25 percent.
-
Why Is It Called a HEMI® Engine?
The engine features a hemispherical combustion chamber, in which the valves are placed at a 58-degree angle at the top of the chamber, allowing more space for larger valves. This dramatically improves the airflow to better burn the fuel and air mixture to create a higher power output.
