San Angelo Rodeo

One of the Top 10 rodeos in the nation, based on total purse. Celebrating its 79th year of existence, the San Angelo Rodeo brings in the top cowboys and cowgirls of the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association every year.

Rodeo Basics

In the American tradition, the rider must stay atop the bucking bull for eight seconds. Some have dubbed it "the most dangerous eight seconds in sports."

Calf Roping

A rodeo event that features a calf and a rider mounted on a horse. The goal is for the rider to catch the calf, dismount from the horse, and restrain the calf by tying three legs together, in as short a time as possible.

Higher Speeds and Efficiency

Why Is It Called a HEMI^® Engine?

The engine features a hemispherical combustion chamber, in which the valves are placed at a 58-degree angle at the top of the chamber, allowing more space for larger valves. This dramatically improves the airflow to better burn the fuel and air mixture to create a higher power output.
