After two days of challenging on- and off-road driving, 69 members of the Texas Auto Writers Association (TAWA) cast their ballots and named the Ram 2500 the Heavy-Duty Pickup Truck of Texas+. Careful deliberation was given to exterior and interior styling, off-road capability, overall utility, value and performance.

Ram 2500 proved its strength and capability once again by winning the Texas Auto Writers Association’s (TAWA) 2015 Heavy Duty Truck of Texas award for the second year in a row—a back-to-back winner! The Association’s annual Texas Truck Rodeo evaluated a huge field of pickups, SUVs and crossover vehicles based on capability, design, utility, value and technology—and Ram 2500 took on all comers with performance and quality that impressed the judges.
Ram 2500 Power Wagon®—Off-Road Truck of Texas
Conquering rocky terrain and rough roads with ease, the 2015 Ram 2500 Power Wagon® earned the title of 2015 Off-Road Truck of Texas at the Texas Auto Writers Association’s (TAWA) annual Texas Truck Rodeo. “The performance and quality of the Ram products at the Rodeo were impressive, with powertrain and technology innovations that are tough to beat,” said TAWA president Michael Marrs. The impressive features of the Power Wagon, including standard Tru-Lok® front and rear axles, Bilstein® gas-charged monotube shocks and a shift-on-the-fly manual transfer case, helped it power through the field of competitors.
