Integrated trailer brake controller

The available integrated trailer brake controller allows you to automatically or manually activate the electronic or hydraulic brakes on properly equipped trailers for greater stopping power on downhill grades. Engaged at the touch of a button, the trailer brake controller reduces brake fade, prolongs brake life, and provides stopping safety and confidence when hauling heavy loads on downhill grades.

    When combined with the largest-in-class front brake rotors (390mm) and calipers (66 mm)+ and unsurpassed rear brakes, the Ram 4500 and 5500 brake system allows you to stop with confidence time after time.

    2012 diesel-equipped Ram 3500, 4500 and 5500 Chassis Cabs now allow you the option of tailoring your vehicles top speed to the upfit and work you do. Choose from maximum speeds of 55, 60, 65, and 70 MPH.
