- Jobsite idling

Ram 4500 and 5500 Chassis Cabs have low enough emissions that they can idle virtually indefinitely at a jobsite, letting you use their HVAC and electrical features. With the Cummins® Turbo Diesel engine, Ram is the only manufacturer to offer a 50-state emissions package and exterior label allowing drivers to idle without time restrictions in California and other Air Resource Board (ARB) states. This means you can let your truck idle, while Ford and GM owners have to automatically shut down after idling five minutes or risk fines in these states.
