    Standard integrated exhaust brake helps to slow the vehicle and maintain control with any load. Brake control has electronic and hydraulic trailer brake capability. It is programmed through the EVIC.

  • Integrated trailer brake controller
    Integrated trailer brake controller

    The available integrated trailer brake controller allows you to automatically or manually activate the electronic brakes on properly equipped trailers for greater stopping power on downhill grades. The controller and status display are mounted on the dashboard to the left of the steering wheel, and include a control lever that can activate the trailer brakes independent of the truck's brakes.

    2012 Ram Chassis Cab trucks feature rear axles – with standard limited-slip differentials – that have been built for competitive load carrying capability and durability. Ram 4500 and Ram 5500 models utilize a Dana Spicer® S111 series single-drive axle that provides a higher rear GAWR. Five axle ratios are available: 3.42 (3500 only), 3.73 (3500 only), 4.10 (3500 & 4500 only), 4.44 and 4.88.

    The seven-pin trailer harness connector, standard on all Ram Chassis Cab models, eliminates dangling wires and makes it easier to connect your trailer.
